1. The deal

Stemin is free. We run it as well as we can, and we promise nothing more. Access to it is a privilege, not a right. When you register or use Stemin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

2. Eligibility

You must be 16 years old or older to register and to use Stemin.

3. What Stemin is

Stemin is an app for learning. Its content comes from git repositories. Every account holds one or more default repositories, and you can add others by their address. The app reads each repository from its host and compiles it on your device. The author of a repository writes its content and holds the rights to it. We do not check or endorse the content of a repository that you add, and we are not responsible for it.

4. Your account

Your account is your email. To sign in, you type the email, and we send a code to it. Keep the mailbox safe: whoever reads its mail can sign in to your account. If you lose the mailbox, the app cannot give the account back to you.

5. We can change or end anything

We can change, suspend or end Stemin, any part of it, or any account, at any time, for any reason or for no reason, and with no notice. We can delete any data at any time. We do not promise to keep your progress, your account or the service itself.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Stemin for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms Stemin, its users or other people. Do not attack it, overload it, or register accounts with automated tools.

7. No warranties

Stemin is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied.

We do not promise that Stemin is correct, complete, secure, available, or fit for any purpose. The content of a repository can contain errors, and an exam in the app is not an official exam. You use Stemin at your own risk.

8. No liability

To the maximum extent that the law permits, Stemin and its contributors are not liable for any damage or loss that comes from the use of Stemin, or from the inability to use it, including the loss of data or progress.

9. Changes to these terms

We can change these terms at any time. The new terms apply when we put them on this page. When you use Stemin after a change, you agree to the new terms.

10. Governing law

The law of Portugal governs these terms. The courts of Portugal decide a dispute about them.
